How Much Bitcoin Can I Buy on eToro?

There’s no hard cap. You can buy as much Bitcoin as your account balance and local laws allow. The minimum trade is just $10. For bigger buys, that depends on your country, how much you’ve deposited, and your account verification level. eToro also supports fractional Bitcoin so there's no need to buy a whole coin.

You don’t need to shell out thousands to start buying Bitcoin on eToro. The minimum trade size is just $10.

And yes, fractional Bitcoin is supported. That means you can buy less than 1  BTC or any amount, as long as it meets the $10 threshold. You’re not stuck waiting to afford a whole coin.

No Maximum for Real Bitcoin

There’s no hard ceiling posted when it comes to buying real (non-leveraged) Bitcoin on eToro.

What does affect your upper limit:

• The cash in your account
• Your individual instrument limits (which vary by asset)

But for BTC itself, there’s no fixed max announced publicly.

Fees and Total Cost

Buying or selling Bitcoin on eToro comes with a flat 1% fee. No tricks or any surprises.

Example: Put $1,000 into BTC, and you’ll see a $10 fee clearly marked before confirming the trade.

There are no hidden spreads baked in as it’s all upfront.

CFD Restrictions vs Real Crypto

Buying real Bitcoin? You’re in the clear.

But if you’re trading crypto CFDs, there are limits. In many regions, eToro caps BTC CFD positions at around $3,000 per trade.

Those CFD limits don’t apply when you’re buying actual Bitcoin outright.

I tested this using my own eToro account to see how much Bitcoin I could actually buy with the full balance. Here’s what happened.

My available funds were $99,964.89, but I couldn’t invest that entire amount. Why? Because eToro includes estimated opening costs upfront.

In this case, the platform calculated a fee of $989.75. So instead of being able to use the full balance, the max I could invest was $98,975.

Add the $989.75 fee, and that brings the total to $99,964.75, which is just under my available funds. Close enough, but not quite the full amount.
