eToro does not charge a standard monthly fee for maintaining an account. However, it does impose a $10 monthly inactivity fee if you haven't logged into your account for 12 consecutive months. This fee continues each month until you log in again or your account balance reaches zero.

How to Avoid the Inactivity Fee

To avoid this charge, simply log into your eToro account at least once a year. No trading activity is required, just logging in resets the inactivity timer.

eToro's Fee Structure

Beyond the inactivity fee, eToro's fee structure includes:

  • Withdrawal Fee: $5 per withdrawal, with a minimum withdrawal amount of $30.
  • Currency Conversion Fee: Up to 0.5% when depositing or withdrawing in a currency other than USD.
  • Crypto Trading Fee: A 1% fee applies to both buying and selling crypto assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

eToro offers commission-free trading for stocks and ETFs for residents of specific countries and regions. However, certain countries may be subject to additional trading fees.

Personal note

It's good to know that eToro doesn't have a general monthly fee but it's also important for you to be aware of the inactivity fee and other specific charges to manage your account effectively.
